Blood Orange IIPA – Smells Like Teen Spirit

It’s hard to make a IIPA wrong when it features a huge load of Citra, Cryo Citra, Amarillo and just a touch of Vic Secret.

The malt body was kept lean on purpose – with a tight filter that lets both the colour and citrus notes shine through.

Blood Orange has been used as a part of the recipe, to support the beer, not to dominate it.

APPEARANCE: Beautifully bright golden colour with copper highlights and a crisp white head.

AROMA: Big bright citrus with a touch of sweet, fresh pineapple.

TASTE: Orange juice, but not in a big dumb hazy way. Clean citrus, sweet mandarin, tropical fruits and just a touch of pine and resin to bring everything together. Super refreshing and balanced.

MOUTHFEEL: Clean and crushable. An assertive, but tempered bitterness of 70IBUs keeps everything in check and makes this more drinkable than a 9%er should be!
