Inspired by the success of Rivermouth, Shallows is our take on a sessionable Hazy with a punchy tropical profile. We dialled in the juicy flavours by layering Eclipse, Strata, and Azacca hops, creating a beer that reminds us that winter’s almost over. With a light yet satisfying body, Shallows is a perfect companion for those late winter afternoons, hinting at the warmth and brightness of the days ahead.
AROMA:
A tropical fruit bowl hits the nose immediately, with dominant notes of juicy pineapple and ripe yellow peach. Fresh-cut honeydew melon and a burst of mandarin citrus come through as the beer warms, adding complexity to the aroma
TASTE:
The first sip is like diving into a glass of breakfast juice, layered with bright tropical and citrus flavours. Spicy pineapple leads the charge, followed by tangerine and peach candy sweetness. Mid-palate, the beer reveals a hint of strawberries, adding a touch of red fruit character. The finish is clean with a mild dankness that lingers pleasantly on the back palate
MOUTHFEEL:
Moderately full bodied, thanks to the generous use of oats and wheat in the grain bill. It’s smooth with a subtle, clean bitterness that makes each sip refreshing and inviting.
