At Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co, we believe in crafting beers that bring people together. Founded in 2012 as a brewpub in the picturesque Margaret River Region, we’ve grown and evolved into a dynamic beverage manufacturing and hospitality group, thanks to the dedication of our amazing team.

Today, we proudly operate three vibrant venues, distribute our exceptional brews to every corner of Western Australia, and run a state-of-the-art production facility in Vasse.

Each batch of beer, from bold IPAs and rich stouts to crisp lagers and unique seasonal offerings, is crafted with the finest ingredients and a whole lot of love. Our History

2010

The Start!

Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co. was founded by Murray Burton.
2012

12 May 2012

Our Caves Road Brewpub officially opens to the public and our first beers are flowing. Australian Hotels Association (AHA) awards us ‘Best Boutique Brewery’.
2013

First Silverback Stout is brewed

Our first edition of Silverback Stout is brewed and package into champagne bottles…. Oh how good it tastes! We double up and take home another win with the AHA for the ‘Best Boutique Brewery’.
2014

We bottle our beers and expand into bottle shops!

We kick the year off with a new bottling contract to get our beers to market, outside of the Caves Road venue.
2015

Canning Line Installed

This year we took it one step further and introduced our canning line.
2016

More Awards and the release of our first ever Limited!

We pick up another award for Best Boutique Brewery at the Australian Hotels Association Awards (AHA). We kick off our Limited Release range with a bangin’ IIPL in 500ml cans. This imperial larger is one for the mantle!
2017

All aboard Singapore Airlines!

We win the rights to range our beers on Singapore Airlines flights to and from Australia. This means big things are coming!
2018

Our second venue - Vasse HQ is born

We purchase some land and our capacity expands with a new state of the art production facility in Vasse. Now we’re talking!
2021

AIBA Champion Small Brewery!

We are crowned the AIBA Champion Australian Small Brewer, and on top of that we also get Champion on the modern IPA category. Boom! Our Vasse HQ gets a makeover with major renovations and the purchase of more land to double our footprint. Our bar is relocated to the front of the shed, now unofficially know as our Vasse watering hole, offering pizzas and beer from Thursday – Sunday every week.
2022

More AIBA Awards

We pick up a few more gongs… AIBA Champion Australian Style Pale Ale and the Perth Royal Show (PRBS) Champion Pale Ale.
2023

Silverback Stout 10th Edition is released

We brew our 10th edition of Silverback and it sells out in a matter of days.
2024

Cheeky Monkey Rockingham Opens!

We launch our new venue in the Syren Street precinct in Rockingham. Building on our hospitality offering at Caves Road, Rockingham offers night trading with dinner, live music and more.
