Laura Firth 777 Marathon Fundraiser

Cheeky Monkey Rockingham Taphouse
 | 11am - 8pm

7 marathons. 7 days. 7 states. All for one important cause.

Our very own Laura Firth is taking on one seriously big challenge as part of the Bravehearts 777 Marathon National Team for 2027: running 7 marathons across 7 Australian states in 7 consecutive days.

It's Laura's fifth year taking part, and she's aiming to raise $11,500 for Bravehearts and their work towards preventing and treating child sexual abuse.

To help her get there, we're hosting a fundraising day at Cheeky Monkey Rockingham on Saturday 28 November, with plenty happening throughout the day. Bring the family, round up your mates and come along to show Laura some support!

WHAT'S HAPPENING ON THE DAY?

  • Raffle draws: Two chances to win, with draws at 2pm and 6pm. All proceeds go towards Laura's fundraising efforts.
  • Kids' entertainment: Face painting and balloon animals from 12pm-3pm.
  • Live music sessions throughout the day
  • $10 kids meals all day long

ABOUT LAURA

Laura is part of the Bravehearts 777 Marathon National Team for 2027, and this will be her fifth year taking part in the event. As a survivor herself, this cause is incredibly close to Laura's heart. She's taking on this challenge to help ensure children know they have a voice, that there are people who believe them and want to help. Her hope is for every child to simply get to be a child, and have a safe place to come home to.

ABOUT THE 777 MARATHON

The Bravehearts 777 Marathon is Australia's toughest ultra-marathon challenge, bringing together seven marathon events across seven Australian cities in seven consecutive days. Members of the 777 National Team, including Laura, take on all seven marathons, travelling across the country and running 42.2km every day. Funds raised help Bravehearts deliver vital counselling and support services, along with education and prevention programs.

ABOUT BRAVEHEARTS

Founded in 1997, Bravehearts is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse. With 1 in 4 Australian children experiencing sexual abuse, Bravehearts works towards a world where people, communities and systems work together to protect children and give them a safer future.
