Originally bred in 2007 by the Hop Breeding Company experimental hop variety program, Krush™ HBC 586 underwent a rigorous 17-year journey before its official commercial release in 2024.
In this beer, we feature Krush prominently but also layer in some of our go-to hop favourites, Citra and Simcoe, to enhance the citrus and tropical notes. The result is a well-structured West Coast IPA that just might convince us Krush belongs in our regular lineup—it’s that good!
AROMA: A wave of stone fruit—fresh-cut white-flesh peaches and nectarines. Notes of sweet orange juice and a subtle hint of lychee round it out.
TASTE: Tropical stone fruit dominates, leading with mango before zesty orange citrus cuts through in the mid-palate. A lively finish of lychee, and a touch of cedar adds a surprising layer of complexity not fully hinted at by the aroma.
MOUTHFEEL: Drinks medium-dry with a fresh, crisp bitterness that keeps it bright and refreshing, balancing the lush fruit character.
